Confirm seller permission and access
Ask the dealer or owner to authorize an independent inspection and make the exact vehicle available. Send year, make, model, VIN, mileage, listing and concerns before booking. Keys and access to the cabin and engine bay are needed; a blocked or unavailable car cannot be evaluated as planned.
If a road test is included, confirm permission, insurance and a safe legal route. For cold-start behavior, ask the seller not to warm the vehicle first. A public roadside stop or restricted lot may not provide the clearance needed to inspect safely.
Know what the review covers
A mobile inspection can review visible condition, accessible leaks, tires, warning indicators, starting and operating behavior, and agreed checks appropriate to the site. It is not a teardown, lift-based underbody inspection, title search, emissions certification or warranty. Hidden and intermittent concerns may not appear during the appointment.
Bring service records and seller disclosures. Hye Tech reports observed condition and limitations so the buyer can decide whether to obtain a specialist check, additional diagnostics or lift inspection. The report reflects what could be evaluated that day and is not a guarantee about future reliability.
Choose an approved Duarte location
Provide the seller’s exact address and a legal space where the vehicle can remain stationary with room around it. If meeting near Huntington Drive or Duarte Road, confirm an authorized driveway or lot, not an active lane. Include any gate, check-in and garage instructions before the visit.
Pre-purchase inspections start at $199 under the existing offer; confirm vehicle and scope when scheduling. If the seller changes the location or denies access, contact Hye Tech before dispatch. Buyers should use the report with service history and any further evaluations they choose.
Questions about this appointment
Can a mobile inspection guarantee no hidden problems?
No. The review is limited to observable conditions and agreed checks at that time.
Does the inspection check title history?
No. It is a condition assessment, not an ownership or title records search.
