Mobile General Auto Repair

Mobile General Auto Repair at Your Location

If you don’t like having your car towed, you’ll love HYE TECH Mechanic.

Not every repair fits into a brake, suspension, battery, A/C, radiator, oil-change, or diagnostic category. Hye Tech provides mobile general auto repair for many eligible mechanical and parts-replacement jobs at your home, workplace, or other safe vehicle location.

Before dispatch, we confirm the vehicle, service location, scope, and required approval. Include the year, make, model, and symptoms when contacting us.

General repairs for the mechanical jobs between the major service categories

This page covers a broad range of mobile-suitable part replacement and mechanical repair that is not already the main focus of another Hye Tech service page. We confirm the symptom, vehicle configuration, part access, and work location before promising a repair so you are not sold a part that does not match the problem or a job that really needs a shop.

What counts as general mobile auto repair?

General repair can include CV axles and wheel-end components, ignition and engine-management parts, mounts, belts and pulleys, fuel and air-control components, leak-related gaskets, and selected mechanical accessories. Suspension, shocks, struts, control arms and related ride or handling concerns now have a dedicated suspension page so those jobs can be explained in the depth they deserve. The exact repair list still varies by vehicle, and some items that sound simple can require a lift, programming, press work, major disassembly, or other shop equipment.

Suspension problem? For shocks, struts, control arms, ball joints, sway-bar links, clunking, rough ride, or handling concerns, use our dedicated Mobile Suspension Repair & Strut Replacement page.
Looking for scheduled spark plug maintenance? For spark plug replacement bundled with engine and cabin air filters, see our Mobile Spark Plug Replacement & Tune-Up Service. If the vehicle has an active misfire, warning light, rough running, or another drivability problem, diagnosis may be the better first step.

Mobile-suitable repair versus shop-level repair

The deciding factor is not whether a part can theoretically be removed outdoors. Safe access, vehicle support, required alignment or programming, press work, fluid containment, disassembly depth, weather, and the work surface all matter. If the proper repair needs shop equipment, we would rather identify that early than turn the vehicle location into a bad work site.

Common reasons customers request general repair

Clicking on turns, vibration under acceleration, or a torn CV axle boot with confirmed axle wear
Rough idle, misfire, hesitation, hard starting, or a confirmed ignition coil, spark plug, sensor, or air-metering fault
Excess engine movement, vibration, or noise from worn engine or transmission mounts
Squealing, chirping, rattling, or visible wear from an accessory belt, tensioner, idler pulley, or related drive component
Oil seepage, vacuum leaks, sticking actuators, failed mechanical accessories, or other confirmed component failures

Types of general repairs we can evaluate

Axles, hubs & drivetrain partsCV axles, wheel hub assemblies, selected wheel bearings, driveshaft components, mounts, and other accessible drivetrain-related parts.
Ignition & engine-management partsIgnition coils, spark plugs, crank and cam sensors, MAF/MAP sensors, oxygen sensors, throttle-related parts, PCV and other confirmed engine-management components.
Fuel, air & emissions partsEligible injectors, fuel-pressure components, purge or vent valves, EGR parts, intake hoses, vacuum lines, and related components when diagnosis supports replacement.
Belts, pulleys, mounts & gasket repairsAccessory belts, tensioners, idler pulleys, engine and transmission mounts, valve-cover gaskets, spark-plug tube seals, and other mobile-suitable mechanical repairs.
Selected mechanical accessoriesWiper mechanisms, washer pumps, window regulators, door-lock actuators, latches, lift supports, and similar repair items when the vehicle and access make mobile service practical.

Common general repair parts we can replace

Examples below are intentionally broad so you can quickly see whether your repair may fit general mobile service. This is not a promise that every item is mobile-suitable on every vehicle; access, diagnosis, parts, safety, and required equipment are confirmed first.

How the mobile service works

1

Send the year, make, model, engine if known, exact location, symptoms, and the part you believe may be needed if one has already been diagnosed.

2

We confirm whether diagnosis is still needed, whether the repair is suitable for mobile service, and what parts or access requirements apply to your vehicle.

3

After authorization, the eligible part is replaced or repaired and the affected system is rechecked. A road check is performed when appropriate and safe.

When mobile service may not be appropriate

General repair does not mean every repair can be performed in a parking space. Jobs requiring an alignment rack, hydraulic press, welding, heavy drivetrain removal, internal engine or transmission work, manufacturer programming, extensive dashboard disassembly, unsafe under-vehicle access, or other shop-only equipment may need a repair facility. Some listed parts are simple on one vehicle and highly involved on another.

Before the appointment

If another shop or technician already diagnosed a part, send the written diagnosis, trouble codes, estimate, or photos if available. If the problem has not been diagnosed, describe the symptom instead of buying parts first. Park the vehicle on a firm, level, legal surface with enough room to work safely.

Service coverage

Fast-response scheduling and same-day service may be available across Hye Tech service areas throughout Los Angeles and surrounding communities, subject to appointment availability, exact address, vehicle access, job scope, parts, weather, parking rules, and safe working conditions.

Frequently asked questions

Do you handle suspension, shocks, struts, control arms, and ball joints?

Yes, many suspension repairs are mobile-suitable. Because those jobs have different safety, spring, alignment, and access requirements, see our dedicated Mobile Suspension Repair page for the full scope and limitations.

Can you replace ignition coils, spark plugs, and engine sensors?

Yes, many ignition and engine-management parts are mobile-suitable. Diagnosis should support replacement first because a misfire or warning light can have more than one cause.

Can you replace a part I already bought?

Possibly. The part number, brand, vehicle fitment, condition, and warranty responsibility should be confirmed before the appointment. We do not recommend buying a part solely from a trouble code without confirming the fault.

Can every part on this page be replaced mobile?

No. The list shows common repair categories, not a guarantee for every vehicle. Access and required equipment vary dramatically by make, model, engine, drivetrain, and repair location.

What if I do not know which part is bad?

Request mobile diagnostics or describe the symptoms when booking. Testing the fault before replacing parts is usually cheaper than guessing.

How much does general mobile auto repair cost?

Pricing depends on the vehicle, confirmed repair, labor access, parts, location, and whether additional diagnosis is required. Send the vehicle details and repair request for a job-specific quote.
