Describe when the handling changes
Tell us whether the sound happens over small bumps, during a turn, while braking or when entering a driveway. Mention which side seems affected, any recent impact, and whether the tires were recently changed or aligned. Worn bushings, links, ball joints, struts, steering parts and tire problems can overlap in their symptoms.
Do not drive to reproduce a severe pull, a visibly tilted wheel or a loose-feeling steering condition. Park safely and describe what changed. A short video from outside the vehicle may help show the noise, but it cannot replace an inspection of loaded joints and secure mounting points.
Use safe lifting and alignment checks
A visual check can reveal an obvious leak, torn boot or bent component. Confirming play in some joints requires properly supporting the vehicle and checking the suspension in the correct position. Springs store energy, and some replacement operations need dedicated tools or access unavailable in a driveway.
After suspension parts are replaced, an alignment may be required to restore tire geometry. A mobile visit can identify a likely fault and complete suitable work, but it should not promise alignment results without measurements. Tell us about lift kits, lowered ride height or prior collision repairs before scheduling.
Make room for work in North Hills
Share whether the vehicle sits in a level driveway, authorized shared lot or garage, including any gate or clearance restrictions. A curb location near Sepulveda Boulevard or Roscoe Boulevard may be too exposed for wheel-off work; the exact parked space matters more than the nearest major road. Do not reserve a public lane as a work area.
Send year, make, model, mileage and the symptom timeline. The $149 initial diagnostic/service visit includes dispatch and up to the first hour of testing. Parts, additional labor and any alignment follow-up are discussed after inspection, with your approval before work proceeds.
Questions about this appointment
Can an alignment fix a clunk?
It may correct wheel angles but will not repair a loose or damaged suspension component.
Does uneven tire wear prove the suspension is worn?
No. Pressure, alignment, tire condition and suspension parts can all contribute.
