Describe the road and symptom
Tell us whether the sound occurs over a pothole, driveway lip, turn or while braking, and which side seems affected. Mention a recent curb impact, tire replacement, alignment, ride-height change or previous repair. Struts, joints, links, bushings, mounts and tires can have overlapping symptoms.
If steering feels loose, a wheel is visibly tilted or a tire is damaged, stop driving when safe. Do not circle to reproduce a dangerous symptom. Photos can show visible damage, but they do not replace inspection of a loaded suspension; avoid getting beneath an unsupported vehicle.
Check safe access and alignment effects
A visual review may reveal a leak or bent part. Checking joint play requires secure support and suspension positioning. Springs store energy, and some repairs call for special tools or underside access beyond a residential driveway’s limits.
Replacing a suspension component can change wheel geometry, so alignment may be required afterward. Hye Tech explains the next step rather than suggesting a part change alone will restore tire angles. Send year, make, model, mileage and any lift, lowering or collision history.
Prepare a Duarte work area
Provide the precise address and whether the vehicle is on level ground in a driveway, garage or authorized lot. Near Huntington Drive or Duarte Road, choose a legal off-street place with clearance around the wheels; the road edge is not suitable for lifting. Mention gate, slope or height restrictions.
The initial diagnostic/service visit starts at $149 and includes dispatch and up to one hour of initial testing. Parts, labor and alignment follow-up are estimated after inspection. If the vehicle cannot be driven or the space is restricted, tell us when booking so an alternate location can be considered.
Questions about this appointment
Can a wheel alignment fix a clunk?
No. Alignment changes wheel angles but does not repair a loose component.
Does uneven tire wear prove a suspension problem?
