Report the sequence of the failure
Tell us whether the engine turns slowly, clicks, stays silent or cranks without catching. Note how long it was parked, whether lights dim, whether a boost helped and whether the issue returned. A successful jump does not establish that the battery is defective.
Stop attempts if there is smoke, hot wiring or a burning odor. Corrosion, loose terminals, starter wear, charging output or key-off draw should be considered when the same battery keeps going flat.
Check fitment and vehicle-specific setup
Group size, terminal orientation, capacity and battery chemistry differ by engine and trim. Some vehicles need battery registration or monitoring-system relearn. Send year, make, model and a clear battery-label image so fitment can be checked before dispatch.
After fitting, connections and start behavior are checked. If testing points to charging or current draw rather than battery failure, we explain the next step before estimating more work; a replacement alone may not prevent another no-start.
Arrange access in West Hills
Tell us whether the vehicle is parked in a private driveway, apartment lot or garage and share gate rules. If the address is west of Shoup Avenue or near Roscoe Boulevard, provide the exact space and note any property contact required.
Hood access and a safe place to handle the battery are important. Share the old battery photo and any test result. The $149 diagnostic/service visit includes dispatch and up to the first hour of initial testing; parts and resets are confirmed before approval.
Questions about this appointment
Will a new battery fix a repeat no-start?
Only if the battery is the cause. Charging and electrical draw checks may be needed for repeated discharge.
Do newer vehicles always accept a basic replacement battery?
Some require a specific battery type or registration procedure; the exact vehicle must be checked.
