Describe airflow, temperature and timing
Tell us whether the fan moves air strongly, whether all vents are warm, and if cooling changes at idle or while moving. Note the outside conditions, how long the system runs before fading and any recent repair. Weak airflow can involve a filter or blower; warm air can have a separate refrigerant or control cause.
Do not add refrigerant or sealant before inspection. A low charge may signal a leak or previous service issue because refrigerant is not normally consumed. Share unusual odors, fan noises, dashboard warnings and prior work so the first test can focus on the likely system.
Check the system and its refrigerant type
Refrigerant and compressor design are vehicle-specific. Initial checks may use vent temperatures, fan operation, accessible controls, electrical readings and suitable pressure testing. Leak tracing, recovery or some component replacements need special equipment and a controlled work area, so a mobile visit may diagnose without completing every repair.
Send the VIN, year, make, model and any prior A/C invoice. The $149 diagnostic/service visit includes the mobile visit and up to the first hour of testing; refrigerant, parts and additional labor are estimated separately after the condition is known. Hye Tech confirms suitability before proceeding.
Plan around Rosemead access
Provide the exact parking address and whether the car is in a driveway, business lot or shared garage. If near Valley Boulevard or Garvey Avenue, identify an authorized off-street space with room to open the hood and connect equipment. A busy curb, loading area or restricted garage may prevent safe service.
Tell us whether the cooling failure is constant or intermittent and whether the engine temperature is also rising. If overheating is present, stop safely and mention it first. Property permission and vehicle access are confirmed before dispatch; not every refrigerant or compressor repair can be completed at the curb.
Questions about this appointment
Does a weak fan mean the refrigerant needs charging?
No. The blower, cabin filter or air-door system may be responsible for weak airflow.
Should I use a sealant recharge can?
Avoid it before diagnosis; it may not stop a leak and can complicate proper service.
